On New Year's Eve, Kaylee Presley had hoped to be in the middle of a party in downtown Oklahoma City.  Instead, she sat on her couch all night because her party bus never arrived.

Presley said the owner of OKC Party Bus, formally Ragin Transit, is to blame.

"We were supposed to get the bus at 10 p.m., but then his excuses started at 9:30 p.m.," Presley said.

David Guthrie, who owns OKC Party Bus, said El Reno police had warned him not to come into their town. Parents had complained about his party bus, he said.

El Reno police said they have no record of talking to Guthrie.

Then the $375 deposit refund check Presley tried to cash bounced for two weeks, she said.

Presley is not alone in her complaints. Ashley Hill and Mercedes Meyer also said they hired OKC Party Bus in mid-December to celebrate their 17th birthdays. The two girls never got a bus and their $750 refund check also bounced, they said.

"You know things happen, I'm not sure exactly what happened on the party that was missed," Guthrie said. "I've done this for 10 years and things are going to come up."

According to police records, David Guthrie does not have a spotless past. He finished serving a sentence for armed robbery in 2000. And last year, he pleaded guilty for possession of cocaine.

Hill and Mercedes did get some good news Wednesday--the $750 refund check Guthrie gave them cleared.
