KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Andrea Riley scored 23 points as Oklahoma State beat Kansas 82-62 in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 women's tournament tonight.
The 18th-ranked Cowgirls (24-6) take on Texas tomorrow in the semifinals. The Longhorns upset second-seeded Baylor 76-71 earlier in the day.
Kansas (16-15) trailed 49-41 early in the second half when Krysten Boogaard picked up her fourth foul. Second later, Danielle McCray also was called for her fourth foul, and Oklahoma State rolled off a quick 16-2 run to take command.
Taylor Hardeman scored 15 points, Maria Cordero had 14, Shaunte' Smith had 12 and Danielle Green had 10 to lead a balanced Oklahoma State scoring attack.
McCray had 18 points and 12 rebounds, Boogaard finished with 17 points and LaChelda Jacobs added 15 points for Kansas.
