Road closed, firefighters injured in Comanche County fire

Several firefighters were treated for heat injuries Saturday while they battled a grass fire in Comanche County, authorities said.

LAWTON, Okla. - Several firefighters were treated for heat injuries Saturday while they battled a grass fire in Comanche County, authorities said.

Officials closed SE 75th Street and Tinney Road Saturday afternoon because smoke was blowing across the roadway, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Troopers said numerous fire departments responded to the fire. Paramedics were called to treat the firefighters.
