ROSEDALE, Okla. - A 40-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in McClain County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said David Davenport of Wayne was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the state Medical Examiner's Office.

Troopers said the crash occurred this morning on Oklahoma Highway 59 in Rosedale. The patrol said Davenport's vehicle ran off the roadway, overcorrected and went out of control, going off the roadway again into an embankment.

It then rolled several times landing approximately 300 feet off the roadway in a pasture.
