OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Myriad Botanical Gardens is inviting local photographers of all ages and skill levels to focus their frames for the Gardens' first ever photography competition and exhibition.

The competition, called Gardens in Focus, is an attempt to showcase the extraordinary beauty of the Gardens and the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory through the eyes of local photographers.

The deadline for photo submittal is December 19, 2008.

The photography competition will feature categories for many age groups, skill levels and subjects. A panel of qualified judges will select winners from each age group and subject area.

The winning photographs will be framed, matted, and displayed at the Gardens In Focus exhibition, which will show from January 22, 2009 through the Festival of the Arts in the North Lobby of the Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory.

Entries must be submitted to the education office of the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
