From News9 meteorologist Stephanie Malone...
The nicest day of weather this week is here for your Friday. Sunny skies and warmer weather is expected, with highs getting up into the lower 60s and variable winds at 5 to 15 miles per hour.
Tomorrow is a different story though. Another arctic front will make its way into the state mid-day, causing temperatures to plummet in the afternoon, coupled with a northerly wind at 20 to 40 miles per hour. Most of Sunday will also be frigid, with highs only getting up into the mid 20s and winds from the north up to 30 miles per hour.
Winds switch from the north, gradually warming us up into the mid to upper 30s Monday and Tuesday. But a much weaker front comes through on Tuesday bringing us a very slight chance for some light winter precipitation.
Things warm up a bit for the holidays. Wednesday temperatures will warm up into the mid 40s, with a south wind at 10 to 20, and then for Christmas Day, expect highs in the upper 50s under partly cloudy skies.
