Tweet-a-Thon Benefits Oklahoma Charity

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Social media users from around the world are joining forces to support an Oklahoma-based charity.

Viewers around the world are invited to participate in the Twitter Power Tweet-a-Thon 2009 on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Twitter is a social media tool. Users can post short "mini-blogs" of 140 characters.

The Tweet-a-Thon will benefit Oklahoma-based Water Is Life. The program provides water filtration devices to African countries.
