HOWE, Oklahoma - Authorities say four people, including two children, were killed when a van and a pickup truck collided on U.S. 59 near Howe in LeFlore County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 32-year-old Jamie Benson; 10-year-old Andrea Benson; 11-year-old Lindsey Morrison and 21-year-old Brian Dailey were killed in the accident that happened about 6:40 p.m. yesterday. Jamie Benson and Dailey died at the scene and the children died at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center.

According to the patrol, it was raining as Benson drove the van north on the highway and Dailey drove south. Troopers say Dailey's vehicle traveled left of the center line and collided head on with the van.

Other occupants in Benson's van were hurt.

Troopers say 28-year-old Nicholas Morrison was hospitalized in stable condition at Sparks Medical Center in Fort Smith, Ark., and 2-year-old Baylee Morrison was treated at the Arkansas hospital and released.
