EL RENO, Oklahoma - A Moore man who was exiting a vehicle that lost control on an icy interstate was struck and killed by a passing car.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 19-year-old Markese Franklin was a passenger in vehicle that lost control about 6 p.m. Friday on westbound I-40 near El Reno. After the vehicle spun out on the icy road, the driver was pulling toward the shoulder when Franklin exited the vehicle and was struck by a westbound car.
The patrol said Franklin was taken to an El Reno hospital, where he died several hours later.
The drivers of the other two vehicles weren't injured.
