FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Students have returned to school in Fargo, N.D., after missing almost two weeks because of the threat of a potentially disastrous flood. All classes resumed Monday in Fargo public schools. Assistant Superintendent Lowell Wolff says students and parents are glad schools have reopened and hope it restores a sense of normalcy. Classes had been canceled as thousands of students joined round-the-clock sandbagging efforts to fend off the swollen Red River. The river crested on March 28 but receded without causing widespread destruction. Oak Grove Lutheran School, which lost two buildings when part of a flood wall buckled, reopened for elementary school students Monday. Older students will resume classes Wednesday at a nearby school.
