OKLAHOMA CITY -- The medical director of the Oklahoma City-County Health Department says that if swine flu is detected in a school, it's likely that school would be closed.

Dr. Dale Claflin met with county school administrators Friday to discuss what steps might be taken if a flu outbreak occurs.

Claflin says guidelines call for a school to close if a case of swine flu is confirmed to prevent if from spreading. He says the school probably would close for at least one week.

But Claflin says it would not be necessary to close an entire school district if a student or staff member was sick in just one school.

Claflin says no cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the state.
