OKLAHOMA CITY -- Travelers flying to the United Kingdom may soon be sharing their aisle with dogs and cats.

A growing number of airlines are now allowing pets in the cabin during flights, including Southwest Airlines.

The carrier has had a long-standing policy against pets in the cabin, but the new Pets are Welcome on Southwest program, or PAWS, allows cats or dogs to stay with their owners during flights.

The program will cost Southwest Airlines passengers $75 each way.
