This Christmas Eve, you and your kids can track Santa and his reindeer as he makes way to your home by simply logging on to the Internet.

Since 1955, the military defense company called Norad has been tracking Santa as he makes his rounds across the world delivering gifts to children. The annual tradition started out as a mistake when a Sears store in Colorado advertised a phone number to call Santa but accidentally listed the wrong one.

Last year, Norad expanded their santa tracker to the Internet.  Millions logged onto the website,, and more than 75 thousand people called into Norad to check on Santa's status.  Norad has more than 1200 volunteers assisting this Christmas Eve and says they are using 42 different radar locations, including a satellite in outer space to detect Rudolph's bright nose.

You can also call or email for updates on Santa's location at 1 (877) HI-NORAD or
