NORMAN, Oklahoma -- One year ago on May 10, 2010, a severe weather system spawned dozens of tornadoes across Oklahoma. Some of the hardest hit areas were in eastern Norman and Cleveland County.

One tornado ripped through the Prairie Village mobile home park near Noble, leaving behind a path of destruction and debris. The population at Prairie Village is now smaller, but many new units have been added.

"It was rocking and rolling," said resident William Cowan. "It tore a lot of people's homes up and cars, and it was really a mess."

The tornado also destroyed most of the marina or damaged close to 300 boats at the Lake Thunderbird marina. Now the marina has been rebuilt. Norris Price, who lost three boats in the storm, now has a new boat at the marina and likes the rebuilding.

"I love it. We're just thrilled to death."

One Cleveland County resident, Tammy Rider, died on May 10. In all, the tornado outbreak killed five people.
