How can Tiger Woods mail it in after the double bogey six he made on No. 4 in the final round at the British Open? He wasn’t going to win anyway, but it sets a bad example to the millions of young golfers who idolize him to be so flippant and seemingly carefree. But when does setting a good example concern Tiger?

The continual vulgar language continues to be unacceptable--Just as his club tosses. Were not Arnie, Jack, Watson and Hogan not as intense as Tiger?  When did they pull the shenanigans we continue to witness from Woods? How can he throw out F-bomb after F-bomb and much worse over and over knowing everything he says and does are out there for the world to see? I thought he found out he was not bullet proof.  I cringe when Tiger spews the ugly venom with my ten year-old son sitting with me watching and listening.

’ll admit, I woke up at 3 in the morning to see him make birdies at St. Andrews. But ended up totally frustrated at missed putts but much more so at his complete disregard for attempting to do what he said he would do: be more responsible with his behavior.

His driving of the golf ball was outstanding but his putting was lame, at best. Putt halfway up to standards and the perpetual betting favorite second. Did I say second? Wow.

Woods is 34 and living his 35th season on this planeta hard life. A hard life in golf, which has seen him grind since he was knee high. A hard life on his --surgeries mounting. Lest I say, a hard personal life.  So how close to his glory days can he return? Is it good enough to beat off the up-and-coming Rory McIlroy’s? and the Sherks of the world who have all of a sudden decided the guy is not invincible. Like two Tour players recently told me, the intimidation factor is a thing of the past.  And that is huuuuggge.

I don’t know. But I do know he will win again. As we brought up well before the raging national debate, he is no where close to a slam dunk to pass Jack and his record 18 majors. And even though not a big Nicklaus fan, unless Tiger grows up, I would have no trouble if Tiger got to 17 major wins but couldn’t get over the humpTigerSpeakand proceeded to lose playoff after playoff after playoff in his attempt to reach Jack.

Watching Tiger lip out putts and get bad bounces made me think that there must be something to that karma thing.

Oh, one more thing. Someone tell Woody to stay away from LeBron’s new Florida crib. It’s 21,000 square feet, 8 bedrooms and 11 full baths. And 12 cameras to monitor every move.
