Tim Tebow is gone. GASP!
Florida is loaded with talent. They always are. But a new guy is under center this season, and while hopes are high for strong-armed John Brantley...hes unproven. Like Garrett Gilbert at Texas, well see how he reacts in Tuscaloosa and in Knoxville and in Tallahassee.
Jeffrey Demps is a slippery running back who can make plays in the pass game as well. And Deonte Thompson and Carl Moore are incredible athletes at receiver. But Florida will have to have somebody new step up in game-winning, drive-finishing situations now that Tebow is a Bronco.
The Gators defense must replace six starters. Defensive tackle Terron Sanders is a beast. Safeties Ahmad Black and Will Hill are as good as any tandem in the country. But questions about at linebacker with A.J. Jones as the only returning starter.
Florida is good, but are they good enough to win a National Championship without Tim Tebow? Not this year. The Gators fall at Alabama and either at Tennessee or at Florida State.
Prediction: 10-2
