OKLAHOMA CITY -- Tenants at Southern Oaks Apartments in southwest Oklahoma City have lived without air conditioning all summer.
Since June 1, the landlord has told residents the cooling tower is broken and they're waiting on repair parts. In the meantime, the landlord has provided a window unit to tenants without one.
The Oklahoma Housing Authority inspected the complex on June 29th. Since every tenant now has a source to keep cool, the complex keeps its Section 8 Housing rental assistance.
