EDMOND -- Police reported they have arrested a Crescent man on a complaint of trying to solicit a meeting with a 14-year-old girl for sex.
Fifty-seven-year-old Floyd Jacks is accused of contacting the girl online via Yahoo chat about three weeks ago.
The Edmond police were contacted and an undercover officer took over the account and kept communicating with Jacks pretending to be the 14-year-old.
Jacks arranged a meeting at the Homeland store at Danforth and Bryant in Edmond and that is where police arrested him.
Jacks, who owns a bait and tackle shop that he runs out of his home, was booked into the Oklahoma County jail but has since made bail.
Neighbors said they are not surprised by the arrest.
