STILLWATER, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma State Cowboys have a new verbal commitment for next season in wide receiver CJ Curry who recently switched his commitment from Georgia to OSU.

According to The Atlanta Journal Constitution, Curry was greatly impressed with the Cowboys after he made an unofficial visit to OSU in June, but his family encouraged him to take some time to think before making a decision.

CJ's dad told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that CJ wanted to see more colleges and chose to see Oklahoma State.

Mr. Curry went on to say, "After we started on our way back, I asked him what he thought about it (OSU). He said ‘Dad, I loved it.' Now he knows I'm a huge Mark Richt and Georgia fan. I told him ‘CJ, when it comes to choosing where you go to college, you've got to be a little selfish. You can't go where your mom or I want you to go. It has to be what's best for you.' He said ‘Dad, in my gut, Oklahoma State is where I want to be."

Throughout the summer Mr. Curry asked CJ which school he was thinking and each time he replied with Oklahoma State. He says that CJ felt more comfortable with OSU than any other school and that he really liked the coaches.

Then, Wednesday night, Mr. Curry told CJ it was time to do something about his decision and made his son call Coach Richt with the news.

"He said Coach Richt was real cordial about it. [Richt] told him he had to respect the decision, and that he wished him the best," Mr. Curry said to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Curry is a 6'2, receiver from Flowery Branch High School outside of Atlanta. Rivals.com lists him as a four star recruit, while Scout.com lists him as a three-star recruit.
