OKLAHOMA CITY – I know there are a lot of people who, after 17 years, never dreamed Bobbi Parker would ever stand trial.

I ask, was justice served?

It was bizarre when the deputy prison warden's wife disappeared with the Granite prison inmate, but it was shocking when they were found 11 years later living as man and wife on a chicken farm.

Since then it seems the escape of Randolph Dial, has been romanticized, but we must never lose sight of the fact that Dial, though a charming prison artist, confessed to shooting a Broken Arrow man in the chest for money.

Not very romantic, huh?

Dial served just eight years of a life sentence for murder before he escaped with Bobbi Parker.

A jury in Mangum decided Wednesday that Parker helped this killer escape and hide from the law for 11 years, that, essentially, Bobbi Parker took it upon herself to grant Dial a decade of freedom before he died in prison.

If that is true, is the one year in prison the jury recommended for her enough?

I'll bet it's not enough for the family of Kelly Horton, the Broken Arrow karate instructor Randolph Dial murdered.
