The Salt Lake Bees earned their sixth straight win while handing the Oklahoma City RedHawks their fifth consecutive loss on Tuesday.
The Bees scored seven runs before OKC got on the board en route to a 10-3 victory at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
Salt Lake got off to a fast start, scoring three runs in the opening inning and continued to methodically chip away at the RedHawk pitching. Salt Lake scored seven times in the first four innings and none of them came off of home runs.
An Ed Lucas RBI single in the third inning ended the night for OKC pitcher Jose Cisnero, who was charged with the loss after giving up six runs on seven hits through 2.2 innings.
The RedHawks' pitching has been a sore spot as they have now lost nine of their past 10 games.
OKC finally got on the board in the sixth inning when Marc Krauss hit a sacrifice fly to center field to score Angel Sanchez.
The RedHawks scored again in the eighth when Matt Dominguez doubled on a ground ball to score Mike Hessman. The final run came in the ninth when Mike Hessman hit a sac fly to left field to score Jimmy Paredes.
The two teams play again Wednesday at 8:05 p.m. in Salt Lake City.
