Evan Ramsey turned in his second four-RBI performance of the season and Southeastern got back in the win column with a 4-2 victory over Northwood on Tuesday afternoon at The Ballpark in Durant.

The win lifts the Savage Storm to 4-4 overall on the year heading into a weekend road series against Ouachita Baptist beginning at 2 p.m. on Feb. 22 and concluding with a noon double-header on Feb. 23.

Ramsey finished the day with a pair of hits in four at bats along with the four RBI, a run scored and a stolen base. Two of his RBI came on his second home run of the year.

Tucker Alexander and Nick Grimmett each added hits as the Storm put up four runs on four hits in the contest.

Pitching came up big for the Storm as well, with Evan Rice earning his first win of the year after tossing 4.0 shutout innings in relief and allowing just one hit with three strikeouts.

He relieved David Cagle who got the start and lasted 3.0 innings, allowing an unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts.

Cameron Mann threw the final 2.0 innings, coming into the contest with a 2-1 lead, and allowing a run on two hits with three K's.

The Knights jumped out in front first with a run in the top of the third inning.

NU threatened again in the fourth inning, but Alexander made a great play on a sac bunt attempt with two on and no outs to get the lead runner at third base.

That was followed up with the next batter hitting into a double-play to end the inning.

The Storm took advantage with Alexander reaching on a single up the middle and Ramsey sending a ball soaring over the leftfield wall with two outs to put SE in front 2-1.

Neither team would get much working until the eighth inning when Mann faced runners at second and third with just one out before striking out the five-hole hitter and coaxing the following batter into grounding out to third.

Chevis Springer opened the bottom of the eighth by walking and moving to second on a wild pitch. After back-to-back outs, Troy McCartney would get hit by a pitch and both runners would advance on another wild pitch.

Ramsey would follow up with a two-run single to left field that plated both runners and put the Storm in front 4-1.

NU would get a run back in the top of the ninth, but SE would hold on for the 4-2 win.
