Smart was named Big 12 Player of the Year, joining Tony Allen and James Anderson as Cowboys whom have received the award.
Smart was also named Freshman of the Year, becoming just the third player in Big 12 history to win Freshman of the Year and Player of the Year in the same season, joining Kevin Durant of Texas and Michael Beasley of Kansas State.
In addition to the individual awards, Smart was named to the All-Big 12 First Team. Joining him on the first team is OU's Romero Osby, Kansas' Jeff Withey and Ben McLemore and Kansas State's Rodney McGruder.
Smart wasn't the only Cowboy honored on the day. Teammate Markel Brown was named to the All-Big 12 Second Team while LeBryan Nash was named as a Third-Team selection. It marks the first time three Cowboys have been named All-Big 12 since 2004.
OU had Amath M'Baye and Steven Pledger named to the third team.
While Smart made the headlines, he wasn't the only individual honored Sunday. Kansas State's Bruce Weber was named Coach of the Year, Withey earned Defensive Player of the Year, Iowa State's Will Clyburn took Newcomer of the Year and Clyburn's teammate Tyrus McGee earned Sixth Man of the Year.
The All-Big 12 Defensive Team also included Smart and his teammate Mike Cobbins, while Smart and M'Baye were selected to the All-Rookie Team.
