Oilers Assign Olivier Roy To Stockton

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, have assigned goaltender Olivier Roy to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.

The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, have assigned goaltender Olivier Roy to the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL.

Roy, a 6-0, 170-pounder from Amqui, Quebec has appeared in 22 games with the Barons this season, posting a 9-9-1 record, 2.77 goals against average and .902 saves percentage. With the Thunder this season, he appeared in five games, posting a 3-1-0 record, 1.24 goals against average, .962 saves percentage and one shutout. The Oilers 5th round draft choice (133rd overall) played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Cape Breton and Acadie-Bathurst before turning pro.

The Barons return to action Tuesday night at home against the Rochester Americans at 7 p.m. Then take on the Houston Aeros Friday night for another home game at the Cox Convention Center.

Faceoff for both games is 7 p.m.
