Police need help identifying a man accused of attacking and sexually assaulting a woman in Bricktown, last Thursday night.

It happened as the woman walked to a convenience store near the Coca-Cola Event Center. Police released a sketch of the man they believe attacked the woman. A number of women who regularly walk the area say they're now looking over their shoulder a little more than normal.

"I don't know that I would walk around at night by myself. Usually I'm with a group, or with family," said Bricktown visitor, LaDonna Wolfes.

Wolfes and her friends say they're always vigilant, no matter where they are in the city.

"I think you have to be smart, you have to," said LaDonna's friend. "You know, simple things, lock your doors. I keep mace on my car keys. But outside of that, it's just being aware of your environment."

"I have my own avenues of protecting myself, if you know what I mean," said another Bricktown visitor.

The suspect is described as an American Indian or Hispanic male, about 30 years old, 5'9" tall and weighing around 200 lbs.

Bricktown visitors and workers are on high alert.

"He looks kind of familiar," said Ashley Sierra. "His face and his piercing. I don't know, I think I've seen him somewhere before."

Sierra works nights at Spaghetti Warehouse on Sheridan right down the street from where the woman was attacked.

"Makes me kind of scared. Makes me want to go out with bigger people, you know, who watch who's around me, watch what's going on," said Sierra.

"Yeah, that concerns me a lot, yes," said Wolfes.

"It's horrible what happened, but it really doesn't affect how safe I feel here," said LaDonna's friend.

Anyone who may be able to identify the man in the sketch should call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235-7300. You can remain anonymous, and may be eligible for a cash reward.
