Train Accident Sparks Fire In South OKC

Two train cars were accidentally dragged together at a train yard just east of Interstates 240 and 35, sparking a fire in one of the cars.

The train cars were on parallel tracks when they began moving together and rubbing against each other. The friction caused a fire in one of the cars, which was carrying a load of shredded paper.

Fire crews rushed to the scene and quickly put out the fire. No one was hurt.
