Road rage turned dangerous Friday morning when Warr Acres Police say a driver cut in front of a motorcycle, then the motorcyclist cut the man's throat.

It happened in a Buy For Less parking lot off of N. MacArthur Blvd. and NW 36th St. around 11 a.m. The driver dropped off a female passenger at the front of the store when he says a motorcyclist stormed at his car.

"The motorcycle followed him into Buy For Less, they exchanged words, then the operator of the motorcycle produced a knife and cut the driver of the car across the neck," says Major Hugh Osborne of Warr Acres Police Dept.

The motorcyclist took off while the driver went inside the store to get help. He was taken to OU Medical Center. Police say there was no surveillance video and no witnesses, but it's a scenario that left shoppers shocked.

"It's a scary thing," says Maria Salazar at Buy For Less. "People drive so crazy, but you never think they'd react like that."

Police are now searching for the motorcyclist. They say it's a man in his late 20s to early 30s wearing a dark blue or black bandana with a goatee, driving a red or orange motorcycle.

Police say the man's cut was pretty close to major arteries, but he had surgery, was sent home and is expected to be OK.
