A large fight near Star Spencer High School led to the arrests of five people Thursday afternoon.
Spencer Police said the fight started because some individuals who do not attend Star Spencer High went to the school when classes ended Thursday just before 2:30 p.m.
When the brawl started, police were called. Spencer police officers and Oklahoma County sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene. They used pepper spray to end the fight and control the crowd.
Six people were arrested, including one juvenile and four adults. Authorities say this fight was the continuation of another fight that took place off campus, involving 20 to 30 students.
Police say no one is on the run, and they're not searching for anyone else. The spokesperson for Oklahoma City Public Schools says the fight happened off-campus on the street, and involved a few students.
No weapons were used during the fight, and no one was seriously injured.
The Oklahoma City Public Schools Administration released this statement:
"This afternoon a group of adults were involved in a fight off NE 33rd and Spencer Road which is near Star Spencer High School. After further investigation, no Star Spencer HS students were involved in the altercation.
We are told that at least 3 adults have been arrested for their involvement this afternoon. The Oklahoma City Public School District's goal is to educate students in a safe learning environment and we are constantly monitoring our students and encourage parents and guardians to partner with us in their child's educational journey."
