The family of a man who sits in the Grady County Jail says they fear for his life, and they need help to clear his name.
32-year-old Keith Thornburg led Chickasha Police on a car chase back in April.
Police say Thornburg had committed several traffic violations, and was driving without a license.
Thornburg was also the subject of a manhunt two years ago. Back then, Former Grady County Sheriff Art Kell told media outlets Thornburg was suspected of rape, kidnapping, drugs, and child porn.
However, current Sheriff Jim Weir says his people can't find any proof Thornburg has ever really been suspected of those crimes.
Thornburg's mother Deloris Thornburg says she fears for her son's safety, when he goes back to prison.
"It's scary. I wonder if he will make it out of there. He has two children," said Deloris Thornburg.
Weir says if prison inmates suspect another inmate of crimes as serious as rape, child porn and kidnapping, they sometimes carry out their own forms of punishment, including death.
We could not reach former Sheriff Art Kell Tuesday.
