Oklahoma City police are looking for two brazen thieves who held a woman at gunpoint and stole an 80 pound safe with thousands of dollars inside.

It happened at the Wheels of Oklahoma City near southeast 29th and Shields Thursday afternoon.

Even though the business has signs all over the place saying they have surveillance cameras on site, the thieves didn't care.

"They just walked in very friendly smiles on their faces," said Jennifer Hardee, store employee.

Hardee was the only one working in the office that afternoon and couldn't believe what was happening. She says, two men walked into the office asking for a rental application. Before she knew it, one of them was pointing a gun at her head.

"It took a second to register what I was looking at," said Hardee. "I leaned in to make sure it was actually a real gun. I realized it was and sat back and looked at him and he still had that smile."

Hardee says the man ordered her to open the safe and when she couldn't he threatened to shoot her.

"I finally sat back and said then shoot me," said Hardee. "I can't open the safe, you can shoot me, but you are still not getting in safe. I don't know what to tell you."

Police say that's when the men decided to take the entire safe with them. The men also ripped out Hardee's phone, as well as the phone located at a nearby desk.

Hardee says she can't believe the men robbed her knowing that cameras were rolling.

"A lot of companies have fake ones, decoy, but all four of ours very much work," said Hardee.

Hardee just hopes that police are able to get a good print off of her phone and tie it to the thieves.

"I don't think this is their first time and I don't think it's going to be their last," said Hardee. "We need to get these guys caught and behind bars before someone gets physically hurt."

Hardee says the gunman did look familiar and she thinks he may have been in their office before.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (405) 235- 7300.
