An Oklahoma City man was arrested for attacking his girlfriend with a Phillips head screwdriver on the southwest side of the metro, early Tuesday morning.
OKC Police were dispatched to a call about a woman screaming just after 6 a.m. in a neighborhood near SW 15th St. and S. May Ave. When police arrived they saw the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Christian Rincon, sitting on the driver's side of a black Chevy Tahoe, leaning over the passenger seat.
Police could hear a woman inside the vehicle screaming, "Stop him! He's torturing me!"
The officers hollered at Rincon to stop and get out of the vehicle. He complied, was handcuffed and put in the back of the squad car. The officers then noticed that the woman who was screaming was completely naked.
She told police that Rincon had been her live-in boyfriend for the last three years. She said they were driving together when the vehicle died in the area of SW 18th St. and S. Grand. She said that is where the two began to argue. When she got out and threatened to leave she said Rincon grabbed her by the hair and arm and pulled her back inside.
She said they began to drive again, but the car son died again. At that time she told the officers she jumped out of the vehicle and chased after her with the screwdriver. She said he threatened that if she did not get back inside he would stab her. She said they argued some more in the street.
While they were arguing, she said Rincon started poking her with the screwdriver, not hard enough to penetrate the skin, but enough to leave visible bruising. The woman also told police that Rincon put the screwdriver to her throat and threatened to kill her.
According to police, the woman said she got back into the SUV and they drove to their current location. She said they parked and Rincon told her to take off all her clothes. At first she said she refused and started to scream for help, but she said he threatened to kill her again so she complied. Once naked she said Rincon threatened to sexually assault her with the screwdriver just moments before the officers arrived on scene.
Inside the Tahoe officers located a screwdriver believed to be the one used in the crime. They took photos of the woman's injuries for evidence and booked Rincon into the Oklahoma Count Jail on assault and battery charges. His bond has not been set at this time.
