ESPN's Marc Stein is reporting that the Thunder has traded center Hasheem Thabeet to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Thunder will reportedly receive a $1.2 million trade exception in the deal. Thabeet's contract was set to become fully guaranteed on Sept. 1. With the development of Steven Adams and the drafting of Mitch McGary, Oklahoma City simply no longer has room for Thabeet.
The 27-year-old from UConn played in 89 games in his two seasons in OKC, averaging 2.1 points and and 2.6 rebounds.
