Suspect On The Run After High-Speed Chase In SW OKC

One suspect is on the run after leading police on a high-speed chase on the southwest side of the metro, Sunday afternoon.

The chase began around 2:30 p.m. near SW 26th St. and S. Independence Ave. Police say they were attempting to pull over a silver Chevy Corvette for a normal traffic violation when the driver took off.

The pursuit did not last long and ended when the suspect lost control of the vehicle in a residential neighborhood near SW 13th and S. Barnes Ave. where he took off on foot. Police were still searching for the suspect in the area as of 3:30 p.m.

Police are not releasing any information regarding this pursuit at this time.
