Five Injured Following Police Chase In Spencer And Nicoma Park

Five people are in the hospital after an overnight high speed chase. It happened along Ives Way in Nicoma Park, off N.E. 23rd between Post and Anderson Roads.

Five people are in the hospital after an overnight high speed chase. It happened along Ives Way in Nicoma Park, off N.E. 23rd between Post and Anderson Roads. 

Police said an officer in Spencer tried to pull over a driver of a Chevy Suburban who did not have headlights on. Now the driver refused to stop and started heading east on N.E. 23rd to Nicoma Park.

The speed limit is 45 mph but police said speeds reached up to 80 mph. 

The car crashed into the front yard of a home. All five people in the car were taken to three separate hospitals. 

Nicoma Park officer who responded to the scene said they had minor injuries. 

No other cars were involved. Police are investigating this as a case of drunk driving.
