Crews Contain Large Fire Behind Hobby Lobby Building In SW OKC

Firefighters have contained a large fire behind a Hobby Lobby building in southwest Oklahoma City, Thursday morning.

According to the fire department, crews responded to the fire at the back of the Hobby Lobby headquarters' warehouse, located at 3700 S. Council Road.

A large amount of smoke could be seen coming from that area. 

According to the fire department, a tar pot was placed too close to some roofing materials that were next to the warehouse. Crews now have the fire under control. 

Fire officials said the building itself was never on fire, though it did suffer smoke damage.
