A metro woman, who had just gone before a judge on felony charges for drug possession, attempted to flee officers during the booking process at the county jail. But after apprehending the woman, authorities discovered she was hiding contraband in a very private location.

Hope Heinen, 21, was already in serious trouble, standing before a judge on Friday, Feb. 6, for felony drug charges; including possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a child.

But while an officer was escorting Heinen and another female to be booked into jail, Heinen managed to slip one of her hands out of her handcuffs and took off on foot.

The officer could not chase after Heinen because he could not leave the other inmate. But he got on his radio and reported that Heinen had fled. She was captured before she could make it outside of the court house.

After her capture officers resumed the booking process on Heinen, but this time she became ill and was transported to OU Medical Center by ambulance, according to the police report. It was at the hospital that medical staff discovered a black Kyocera touchscreen phone hidden inside of her genitals.

The phone was booked into evidence and Heinen was then finally booked into the Oklahoma County Jail with the added charges of Attempting to Smuggle Contraband into a Penal Institution, Possession of Contraband in a Penal Institution and Attempting to Escape From Custody.

Prosecutors also charged Heinen, along with three other family members, in a fake prescription drug forms case back in Aug. 2012.
