One person was killed and another critically injured in a one-vehicle crash in Canadian County, Thursday afternoon.

It happened at about 4:15 p.m. on State Highway 37 at Chisholm in Canadian County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

A 2004 Dodge Ram pickup reportedly left the roadway to the right. The driver, whose name has not been released due to age, overcorrected, causing the pickup to run off the roadway again to the left. The truck then struck a tree, overturned half time and came to rest.

The driver was transported to St. Anthony's Hospital in critical condition. A passenger, whose name is also being withheld due to age, was pronounced dead at the scene.
