Two earthquakes near Garfield County were recorded Saturday afternoon.
The first small 3.0 magnitude quake, struck at approximately 2:44 p.m.
Its epicenter was located 17 miles south southeast of Medford, Okla., 19 miles northeast Enid, and 30 miles west southwest of Ponca City at a depth of about four miles.
The second, a 3.7 magnitude earthquake, was recorded in the same area around 3:11 p.m.
The third, a 3.4 magnitude earthquake, struck at approximately 4:46 p.m. Its epicenter was located 14 miles south southeast of Medford at a depth of less than a mile.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries associated with these earthquakes.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely with quakes at magnitudes 4.0 and higher.
