A fight against a Walmart Neighborhood Market in north Edmond is about to begin, again.
It comes after plans for the grocery store were voted down last year by the Edmond City Council.
The City of Edmond recently received new plans for the Walmart Neighborhood Market near Covell and Coltrane roads.
“This year, from what we can surmise from the plans is that they will do the appropriate widening” Edmond spokesman Casey Moore said.
The new plans calls for 2,400 feet of road at the Covell and Coltrane intersection to be widened 12 to 15 feet
The Edmond City Council does not have a timetable on when the plans will be voted on again.
Neighbors who live close to the intersection promise to fight the plans again.
“Nothing has changed from last year at this time,” Jean Querciagrossa said.
Querciagrossa lives nearby in Ashforde Oaks.
