Oklahoma City Police are looking for a man who took thousands of dollars worth of tools from a Northwest Oklahoma City hardware store.

This thief has been dubbed the “red shoe bandit”.

Each time he comes in, he grabs what he wants and walks right out without paying.

Fortunately, surveillance cameras at the Lowe's store captured a clear image of the “red shoe bandit” as he walked through the aisles.

According to the police report, he walked into the store through the lumber department, picked up a tool kit and a compact drill. He then, walked out and got into a silver Chevy Impala in the parking lot.

Police say he has already stolen thousands of dollars worth of tools and other items from this particular store, once during an August heist and once in September. Police hope to catch him before he strikes again.

"The picture is very very clear we are really hoping that someone knows who this person is and contacts crime stoppers immediately," said Sgt. Ashley Peters with the Oklahoma City Police Department. That number to Crime Stoppers is (405)235-7300.
