The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office has issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection with the shooting and killing of one man and injuring another.

Authorities are searching for Valentin Monuz Gonzalez, also known as Martin Gonzalez, and Heraldo Garcia, 38, of Hinton, as the primary suspect in the homicide.

According to the report, the shooting occurred around 5:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, at a home just west of Methodist Road on West Reno.

The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Tomas Contreras, and 30-year-old Luis Armando Granillo Morales.

Contreras died of his injuries and Morales was transported to OU Medical for his injuries.

The Canadian County Sheriff’s Office says an eye witness identified Gonzalez as the shooter.

“This is not Gonzales’s first run-in with the law.  He was first in trouble and deported from the United States on weapons charges in 2003, and then illegally re-entered the United States under an assumed name.   However, this is the first time that Gonzales has been in trouble in Canadian County,” said Randall Edwards, Canadian County Sheriff.

Gonzalez owns and operates Martin’s Detailing and Construction of Hinton, and has been missing since the shooting.

Investigators verified Homeland Security that Gonzalez applied for resident status in May 2015 but was denied.

Gonzalez is wanted for first degree murder and shooting with intent to kill. He is believed to be heading back to Mexico and should be considered armed and dangerous.

If you or anyone know of his whereabouts contact your local authorities.
