Crews Continue Working To Restore Power Throughout OK

A weekend ice storm slammed the state, causing ten thousands of customers to be without power Saturday into Sunday.

According to OG&E as of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, over 58,446 customers are without power.

The majority of the outages have been reported in Oklahoma City with 27,686 customers without power, Yukon with 3,852, Warr Acres with 1,785, and El Reno with 3,804. There are several cities with smaller numbers.

Due to the large number of outages, OG&E said they are unable to provide or update the estimated time of restoration for outages.

Also Sunday, Cimarron Electric reported nearly 4,000 power outages.

As of 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Edmond Electric reported about 800 outages. During the peak of the storm, more than 7,000 Edmond Electric customers were without electricity.
