The Better Business Bureau is putting out a warning for the recently popular "Be Like Bill" meme on Facebook.
First of all, before you click on anything on Facebook, check the terms of privacy. For the Be like Bill memes, the terms say the generator has the right to use and edit your content permanently, with no limits and no recovery.
In other cases, computers have gotten viruses or credit card and bank account numbers have been stolen. The BBB says you can sometimes see these statements in click bate, which is online content designed to get you to click.
The organization says one of the best ways to protect yourself is to make sure any link you click on a site like Facebook is taking you to an accredited website you're familiar with. Or to be 100 percent safe, just avoid all links all together.
