Fast Focaccia Bread

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3-4 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 package rapid rise yeast
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water

Add:

  • Topping options: Kalamata olives,
  • Sliced red onion, shredded Parmesan cheese, herbs, or sea salt
  1. In a large bowl combine the flour, olive oil and sea salt. Using a glass measuring cup warm the water in the microwave for a 1 minute 30 seconds.
  2. Add the yeast to the warm water and allow it to proof (creates bubbles after about 5 minutes) Pour the water over the top and stir with a wooden spoon till it forms a ball.
  3. Place the dough wall on a baking sheet drizzled with olive oil. Flatten the dough out on the pan till it is about 1 inch thick. No need to worry about making it perfect. All the dough to rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Once the dough has risen, gently poke your fingertips into the dough. Brush with olive oil and then sprinkle with your favorite toppings. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
