It was a rude awakening for residents near Freedom early Saturday morning.
That's where 80-plus mph winds were reported.
Michelle Forbes' family was likely hit the hardest.
“It’s actually my grandfather's property. He said he woke up this morning around 3 (a.m.) to the commotion. Tried to open his front door, the screen door. Couldn't open it, so he tried to shut the other door. Seconds after that he said he heard a loud a loud bang, the lights got bright. And he said he just hit the floor, and covered his head, and started praying for the best because he didn't know what was going on,” Forbes said.
Forbes said a only few bedrooms in the house are still standing, no one was hurt.
