Crews were called out to repair a cut gas line on the northeast side of the metro, Wednesday morning.

According to Oklahoma City Fire Department spokesperson Benny Fulkerson, construction workers digging holes to install light polices accidentally cut a 3-inch natural gas line in the 9600 block of N. Oklahoma Ave., near W. Britton Rd. and the Broadway Extension.

The gas was blowing to the north, where there is nothing in harm’s way. No evacuations were made.

Workers with Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) were able to cap the leak just before 9:30 a.m.
