Police want to track down two suspects who broke into the Oklahoma Fire Marshal’s office Sunday evening. One suspect wore one of the state agency’s shirts but officials believe he is an imposter.

The state fire marshal's office is located inside a large northwest Oklahoma City office complex. The office receptionist said she came to work Monday morning and noticed something was not right. Video of the break-in shows a man wearing a fire marshal agent shirt and carrying a bag. He manages to open an outside office door and comes in and out of the building several times.

“As the burglary progresses,” said Msgt. Gary Knight, Oklahoma City Police Department. “He actually puts on different hats and one time puts on one of their jackets and walks around.”

A woman also shows up and goes inside the building with the imposter agent. They left around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

“Spent over an hour at the marshals office,” said Knight. “Before eventually leaving with a number of iPads, he left with a couple of firearms, some fire marshal badges and jackets they wear.”

The state fire marshal's office is not commenting about the burglary, but told police they do not recognize the man or woman in the surveillance video.

Police said their priority is catching the thieves and keeping the stolen guns off the streets.

‘We certainly want to get these guns back before somebody has a chance to hurt somebody with them,” said Knight.

They ask if you recognize either of the suspects to call police right away.
