The Oklahoma Department Of Transportation’s Oklahoma City Boulevard project this week marked a milestone.

The four-lane roadway that’s being built literally in the footprint of the old “Crosstown,” will be finished in mid-2019, according to ODOT.

Wednesday, the stretch between Robinson and Hudson opened for traffic.

Bricktown business owners like Bricktown Water Taxi General Manager Chad Huntington are excited by the progress.

“100 percent!  It drops people off right here at Thunder games. Very soon, they’re going to start work on the Convention Center.  There’s going to be the Omni Hotel right there, and so it’s going to be much easier for people coming and going from downtown,” Huntington said.
