Murder Trial Set To Begin In Child's 2015 Death Could Be Delayed

The murder trial of a babysitter accused of killing a child is scheduled to begin in Canadian County.

According to OSCN, the trial is scheduled to start Monday, however, News 9 has received information that the proceeding could be delayed to as a late as October. 

Leslie Hendrix is accused of killing baby Isabelle Little Elk in 2015. According to court reports, Hendrix was babysitting Isabelle when she was rushed to OU Med in OKC with head injures.

She died in the hospital after doctors found bleeding on the brain. One month later, Hendrix was arrested and charged with first degree murder.

Hendrix remains in jail where she's been for over 2 years.
