Officials say one person has died following a fatal auto-pedestrian accident near I-44 westbound at I-235.

Officials Investigate Fatal Auto-Ped In NW OKC

One person has died after an auto-pedestrian crash at westbound I-44 near I-235.

Authorities said they discovered the victim had been hit by a car when they arrived on scene.

Curt Thomas Henry, 38, of Oklahoma City, was taken to OU Medical Center where he died Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the driver who struck the victim stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.

Troopers said Henry was walking in the left lane when he was hit by a pickup. The driver of the pickup tried to swerve right but could not avoid hitting the man.
